Okay, so I received my CameraSlingers strap last Wednesday, just in time for my first bridal shoot of the year this past Saturday. At the age of 55, a 5-year survivor of quad bypass heart surgery, and one who has serious lower back issues from time to time, I knew that the strap could only help me on those long, arduous days of shooting, whether it be an 8-hour wedding gig or 4 hour event.
If Saturday’s 2-hour bridal session is any indication, I will be singing your praises from any mountaintop that I can find. I could not believe how fresh I felt even after lugging a Canon 5D w/24-70L off my right shoulder and a Canon 40D w/70-200L off my left! Absolutely incredible!!!
So, are there any modifications that I would suggest? Sure! I have ordered some connectors that will hopefully allow me to attach the strap to a belt loop on each side of my body in order to restrict how far away from the body the cameras are allowed to travel without hindering the fluidity of getting the cams to my eye. I will let you know how that goes. The product could only be improved by allowing a means of tethering closer to the body.
But all things considered, I could not be any happier! This is arguably the best money I have ever spent on a photographic accessory. Thank you for such a wonderful product!
