Does the Camera Slinger Actually Help with Neckpain?

I received an email from Gokhan Cukurova For those of you that are having doubts about the camera slinger read this below.

“I love Camera Slingers because I have no neck pain after the weddings anymore. Plus, now I can have both cameras ready to shoot. No need to stop to change lenses! Specially for wedding photographers: There is no repeat of the day. Having 2 cameras on my side makes me feel more secure on not to miss a shot.”

Artists Advice:
I make people feel like I am one of them. I am in the bridal party. That opens all the emotional doors for me. My advise would be to give 200% to be a part of the family.

Nancy Ramos loves the Camera Slinger!

I am a female photographer. Camera Slingers have helped me carry a balanced weight when I have both cameras hanging. I am quicker to respond to the perfect shot because I have both cameras at my reach.
Love them and recommend them to my friends all the time.

Walter Van Dusen for those of you that don’t know him is an incredible individual and photographer!
He came up with this idea to have a special seminar that would be located on the East Coast similar to WPPI, but on a smaller scale.
He started this 5 years ago and now has Nikon as a sponsor, and a ton of incredible photographers on the lineup.
Doesn’t sound small anymore!
Some of the photographers that are going to be there are Jerry Ghionis, Joe McNally, David Williams, John Michael Cooper, Dave and Quin Cheung, Tricoast Photography, Andy Marcus, Greg Gibson, Michelle Turner and Stacey Doyle, George Weir, Jason Groupp, Storey Wilkins, Andrew Funderberg, and Jerome Braga!
Wow! And the coolest thing is that during Summer School at our fabulous Camera Slinger Party in Vegas he gave one lucky winner a spot!
Shaun Austin Wlliams was the lucky winner , so lucky! WOW!

Brandon Perron “I am a two camera guy! ” Seattle Wedding Photographer

Before we get into my review of the camera slinger…I need to put out a disclaimer…I got mine for free. Jessica Conroy the sales and marketing director put up a topic on the bschool and asked for some help, I offered and they sent me a camera slinger for my efforts (I am actually still working on what I said I would help them with)…but I am writing this review, because I want to, not because of a pre-arranged deal with them. I love this thing so much, I want to not only help them out, but also help other photogs out.

I am a two-camera guy, there is no way around that and it will not change…but its an absolute pain the ass trying to have two cameras on me with the standard camera straps, so I do not use the straps and just set one of the cameras by me when I am shooting. Issue with that is if I think the lens that is on the other camera would yield a great shot I have to stop and pick it up and see if the shot is still there or if I missed it. That’s a pain in the ass…with the camera slinger, there is no more of that and I can not tell you the absolute helpfulness the camera slinger really is.

This is especially true during the ceremony, where I like my 70-200 and my 24-70…they are always at my sides and ready to go, depending on which I feel would yield a better shot. Nothing is ever missed now, because in a split second I have the other camera up to my face. I have tried this method with normal straps, but they always fall of my shoulders and it was more of a pain then just setting the camera down and doing it that way. This strap has truly changed how I am able to shoot. Now I do not use it all the time, but I do use it religiously at certain times (1st time meeting before ceremony, ceremony, first dance, father-daughter and mother-son first dance) and for those times alone it is worth its weight 10x in gold!

I do have to say, that I saw this when Candice and Jessica rolled it out, I was not sure if I would really need it, I thought it might be a cool little toy to have, but now that I have it…if something happened to it, I would have one on order that same day!

You might not even be a two camera person now, but having this could change that…I think rocking two cameras, opens up the door for so many different shots that it makes what I deliver that much better…so who knows this could allow you to convert, because I think it takes away all the complaints that come with actually shooting with two cameras.

Sure, some say, it looks funny or like a backwards bra, my wife gives me shit every time I rock it…but whatever, its functional and my clients pay me to get the shot and that means being more functional then fashionable. So please tell your clients that you might be willing to miss a shot, because you want to look cooler then wear something that allows you to do your job better and looks a little strange…let me know what they say

I know that something else this thing does is alleviate pain that normal camera straps cause to photographers. Since I never used straps, I can not complain of back pain from them…but what I can say, is that wearing this for an hour or so at a time, causes no back pains what so ever and I have a terrible back…So I do believe that there is some truth to this and if you have back pains due to camera straps…get this as I believe it will lessen those pains dramatically.

I can not tell you how much I truly love this thing, like stated above…I use it at every wedding I shoot a few times through out the day and it has changed how I shoot! Why would you not want to change how you shoot, if it means being more versatile and able to get a better shot?

Go and pick this up right now!!! When you do, please tell them that I sent you…there is no discount for doing so, nor do I receive anything…I just want Candice and Jessica to know that I am helping them spread the word.

I am happy to answer all questions that you may have about this…

AWESOME CAMERA STRAP HUSH STRAP

Candice, Jessica and Eddie, I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how much I appreciated you all taking care of me this last week in regards to getting a Camera Slinger. I never thought I’d hear myself say how “awesome” a camera strap was, but I have to hand it to you guys, this thing kicks ass!

Using it during this last weekend’s 12 hour wedding was totally fantastic, specifically it’s ability to distribute the weight of my my two 1D Mk II’s, I never imagined what a difference it’d make on my neck and back when the day was done. I’m looking forward to seeing what your able to develop regarding those of us who rely on our vertical grips, as the length and design of the strap’s mounting was really the only thing that encumbered the me while using it.

Also, I met with several other shooters this morning during our weekly Wednesday Starbucks outing and a few mentioned that they’d be interested in buying a Camera Slinger. Jessica had mentioned a referral / discount program that you were beginning to implement so if you could send me along information on that I’ve got some eager potential buyers for you.

Finally, as a sports photographer who’s roamed the sidelines of every major professional sport this country offers, I have to encourage you to broaden your market to include these guys as well. I really think that there is a tremendous opportunity there, as, at a minimum, any respectable sports photographer uses two camera’s. I myself ideally use three and having a Camera Slinger will be a tremendous benefit in the future.

PS, Jessica had inquired as to whether my second shooter had any images of me using the CS this weekend, I’m looking into it and will be sure to let you know!

Thanks!

You definitely have a customer for life!

My review (Hush strap) –

I am in love with your new hush strap! The ability to convert it from a double camera holder to a single, separated holder is brilliant and exactly what I had been hoping for! Your strap gives me the total confidence to switch camera in an instant has certainly allowed me to capture definitive moments much more creatively! You definitely have a customer for life!
